More than 10 Years in development

​In 1989, Rob Lincoln created an innovative, interactive deck of cards featuring historical figures. He even patented the idea. With the help of David Kleiner and Wes Powers, a website was built based on the card games Rob had invented. It also includes new games. After ten years, the site is still in development (updating interface and layout) but much of the content works fine. Come in and explore while it is still free!

Our Goal

​Enter HistoryFaces.com and immerse yourself in the famous, infamous, and little known figures of history. The longer you stay, the more history you will learn, one face at a time. Complete the History Hunt Game to meet over 1,000 HistoryFaces and gain considerable knowledge. Choose the best historical figures for quests and missions. Play a variety of games and find your historical literacy has grown.

​With a BA in history and a vision for a new approach to engaging folks in history, educator and singer-songwriter Rob Lincoln decided to create a card game like no other. This led to the HistoryFace website and the app, HistoryFaces.

​David has won awards as an educator, curriculum writer, and singer-songwriter. After 29 years in the classroom, he now writes all of the content for the HistoryFace website and the HistoryFaces app.
